I asked all the Boiz to give me 1 movie recommendation. Many months later I have finally watched them all! I rated and ranked each one. They were all quite good but here's my personal list:

#10 - The Mummy (1999) - Phil [6.5/10]

Interesting premise. I can see the appeal but not my favorite

#9 - Kiki’s Delivery Service (1990) - Bader [7.2/10]

Nice setup and characters, but I feel like they could have done some more worldbuilding/expanding on the magic. The only thing she did with her magic was fly. Cute story though

#8 - Alien (1979) - Bailey [7.5/10]

Interesting plot. Certain effects have not held up. I wish we had a bit more screen time with the Alien. Very enjoyable nonetheless!

#7 - The Thing (1982) - Jon [7.7/10]

Fun and suspenseful sci-fi. Again certain scenes didn't age particularly well. I like the ambiguous ending. Also Amogus

#6 - The Departed (2006) - Tbar [8/10]

Very captivating thriller. I was in shock from the ending. All in all solid watch start to finish

#5 - Weekend at Bernie's (1989) - Sal [8.4/10]

I can see why this is an instant classic. Rich and Larry had a great dynamic.

#4 - The Prestige (2006) - Meeks [8.5/10]

Exciting movie with many twists and hidden details. I had to re-watch certain scenes after knowing how it ends

#3 - Office Space (1999) - Stan [8.8/10]

Uncomfortably relatable to my experience in corporate America. Hilarious the whole way through

#2 - Whiplash (2014) - Bike [9.2/10]

Gave me nostalgia from my band class days. (Not the abuse part). The interactions between Neiman and Fletcher were A+

#1 - The Shawshank Redemption (1994) - Jack [9.5/10]

Captivating the whole way through. Had many gratifying moments. Andy Dufresne and Red were very likable characters. I felt immense satisfaction watching Andy take on the corrupt system and come out on top
